• Fresh yogurt aboard
  • We keep yogurt in the bilge without refig in Calif.
  • On a slightly different note -- anyone grow sprouts aboard?
    • Herbs, easy to grow and don't take much space.
    • Brussels?
      • No, alfalfa and radish... fine green "grass..."
        • I knew several cruising boats that did sprouts
          • Yeah currently I only have an ice box too
            • One thing that bit us for a while, til we learned
            • Cabbage lasts best.
              • Yep- and red potatoes. And onions of course
    • I tried growing sprouts on my '89 cruise
    • We grew them (meaning Joni grew them) and it was easy and a treat where freshies were scarce like the Family Islands.
      • I love Brussels sprouts... but they take dirt to grow.
        • Near the top of the list in Micronutrients, too.
