Unfortunately, wife's feet have failed and she can no longer maneuver well onto and off the boat. Up and down the companionway is becoming an issue. Down side: a pair of orthopedic sandals cost us $350 and last maybe 18 months. Up side: the handicap parking thing is real handy. Medical science has yet to come up with a foot replacement - perhaps wheels?
Multi-week trip down east are past joys, not to be repeated (do them while you can!). I'm basically single handing now. This year was a first for me - hired a boatyard grunt to sand the bottom. He did a fine job (with my sanders and paper) and we're both happy. Have him do it again next year, then go to ablative. I think I have enough hard paint left for painting tomorrow.
