In the past week or two my throttle control won't hold it's speed. You have to keep a hand on it or it will slow itself down from say 2100 to 1800 rpm. I disconnected the Morse cable from the engine and the cable runs very smoothly, so the problem is presumably with the governor. One of my books says it may need cleaning, especially if I've been running at less than full power which I have at times. I would really appreciate any feedback on possible cause and solution to this problem. I will be in Horta in a couple days and can get a mechanic, but would be nice to know what to expect.
