retracks it to the idle position? Some have springs that have several holes that allow you to adjusr the position of the spring. If you have that set up try positioning the spring with a lighter pressure. If that works then something changed in either the gov. or the linkage. Point of fact is that on my 4-108, I had the same thing happening to me and I removed the spring all togather years ago. It didn't seem to bother anything and I still wonder why it was installed on the engine in the first place. Good luck.
