He was reportedly capsized a total of 3 times and lost the spar. The media simply does not fathom the fact that an Arlberg 35 can not stay inverted, especially without a spar, thus they incorrectly assumed that when he capsized he stayed that way... The better question would be how you would even hang onto an upside down Arlberg 35 and or fish or catch water, or sleep or not get hypothermic.... The answer is you don't and this is just more ignorance in reporting....
