As a responsible boat owner I started testing things prior to launch. Opened the hatch to the engine compartment and hit the manual switch to test the bilge pump. The loud screeching coming out of the sump was a sign. New pump is on order. The plan was to pull the whole rig out anyhow, I'm not convinced that my float switch is working either. I can shine my light down there and see a pump. The story from the factory is that the pump is attached to SS flat stock that is bolted to the engine pan. By hanging upside down into the compartment I should be able to get to that bolt. Can't wait to see what's actually on the other end. That is a Saturday project this week.
