Boat originally came with what looked like a newish Rule float switch that soon failed. Bought another Rule switch but it also died after a couple of years. Switched to Johnson Controls switches and they have worked well for going on 6 years. The sump in the boat is split in two by the center board trunk. Two halves are connected so when upright a single pump works fine. Unfortunately, when on the wrong tack, water builds up in the unpumped side. Installed a second pump and switch and now bilge stays very dry. Still trying to find where the small amount of water gets in from. Have never had a boat that didn't leak at sea but found the sources of ingress with those boats, this one is a mystery.
