you still have a dis-similar metal situation. Add electrical current, salt and water to the mix and it's a guaranteed issue. Isolate as much as you can. As for the foot or cockpit controls, I would suggest you consider yet another option. I have my controls on a hand held weather proof switch box with a dis-connectable cable and deck mounted waterproof plug. Most windless manufactures offer one as an option. Standing on a deck mounted switch pretty much keeps you from being able to move to and adjust the anchor as it comes up over the roller. It keeps you in place if you want to use your salt water wash down hose, installing a snuber and I could, most likely, come up with several other reasons being able to move around the deck while deploying and retrieving the anchor is a good thing. I've never liked deck mounted switches or cockpit mounted ones. The only reason I could see a use for a cockpit mounted switch is if you were single handing and you had a huge boat and then I'm still not so sure. IMHO, to many down side to off set the benefits.
