on/off switch located at the inside steering station. I always turn it off and it has a big white light that is on when ever the windless has power. The switch is in combination with the breaker which automatically re-sets itself on a short time delay if overloaded. I always turn the power off, I always secure the anchor and I always count the markers when deploying the anchor. At least I always try... :-0
