True. Inflation doesn't take into account the cost of skilled labor today vs 1960.

The skilled labor required for this boat was available in many places (this boat like mine, had the woodwork completed in Denmark) in the 60's. Today, I think it costs more anywhere that you can find the skills. Materials too are more expensive.

Plus the typical boat of this size today has many many more complicated systems. Those systems are adding a lot of $ to a new boat.
