In recent years that SD show has been a real joke... even back in the days when it was at the Convention Center, it was pretty lame.
In fact, just between you and I (and all the other kids watching) the West Marine in SD is lame. (a lot of damn clothing, and not enough damn real hardware)
The smaller West Marine in Anacortes has more stuff than the larger WM in San Diego could ever dream of... It's as if SD is just a backwater... in spite of the great weather.
I was never impressed by the boat shows there.
