I think we managed to stay above poverty level, but we certainly did not MAKE that an hour

Utilities, insurance,, rental of shop, etc took the bulk of it
Did manage to build a home on Matagorda Bay though.
Did all labor ourselves totally- wiring,plumbing, construction. and it was paid for when we moved in. Every board and nail was paid for when it got to lot. Took a while Three of us lived in a 24 foot travel trailer til it was liveable
I'm pretty proud of it
