One thing I forgot to mention is I installed electric primary winches 3 years ago. Probably the single best thing I've done for the boat, (Catalina 36). I figure this will extend my sailing into my older age, (I just turned 70 😭). 'Twas a bit expensive, (~$4,000; electric upgrade kit from Lewmar and wire. I did the work myself), but well worth it.

As you know Champlain has very few anchorages that are protected all around. Had do do many a move-in-the-middle-of-the-night thing. On top of that the lake is getting VERY crowded, with the majority of boats well over 40'. During the Canadian "holidays" it's sometimes best to return to our dock, (Willsboro).

Love your pictures, wish we could get up there, but its probably not in the cards.
