I think it's more an issue of your sailing companions. The wife and I did some of our best sailing right after I retired. Jon was a solo sailor - I'm not. Then again Jon also lived alone, so it didn't make any difference to him whether he was living alone in a house in NJ, or living alone on a boat in 'wherever'. My wife has lost her agility (bad feet) and is no longer comfortable sailing. I could sail alone, but don't enjoy it. Our Tartan 30 is currently listed with Hellier's in New London.
