I've cut a lot of aluminum on a bandsaw.....

Worked perfectly. It wants a low tooth count skip tooth type blade due to finer blade, i.e., more teeth per inch will load up. I've never cut it on a chop saw but be wary of too many teeth, I'd think based on my bandsaw experiences. I know some folks cutting plate have turned the saw blade backwards in the saw to cut it.

Aluminum is soft and will bind if you're not slow and careful. Geez, I hope it works for ya.
