Youtube kick backs in the home shop

You got me curious: this one does a nice post-mortem analysis and notes all the things he did wrong, except the most important: He stood in front of the saw while it was running and had materials still on the table.

And if you think that's bad take a look at this one. It gets really scary about 2:30 into the video. He's a smart guy who did a really stupid demo and learned a good lesson himself. (I hate to admit I've been using my table saw without a guard for years... thinking if I'm careful and always stand off to the side I'll never get hit with the wood in a kickback. (Just like the guy in the video) Well, after seeing this one I'm thinking differently. Going to locate and reattach the guard.

And this one will really make you squeamish UGGGH!
