Had similar making a pie carrier.......

But the issue was the damnable fence that locks on both ends. It was always hard to get a true parallel fence set with it. I immediately dumped that POS and laid in Biesemeyer tee fence and never had that issue again.

This all happened shortly after I swapped the 110 wiring for 220 wiring. Running on 110 the saw would bind but stop the blade. On 220 when the 12" square board I was trimming bound it just slapped it back at me about a hunnerd miles and hour. The luck of it for me was that it hit me flat on the chest rather than a corner or somesuch. However, the spin of the board tore my thumb end which required four stitches......

I gave that table saw to a friend (didn't even get a all at 100 bucks on CL) and was saddened to find the double end locking fence on the new little Bosch folding saw I bought to replace. However, ti works reasonably well versus the old Rockwell.
