I cut a lot of 3"x3" steel tube on my miter saw using a 10" cut off wheel.

more than a little squeamish, I think I'm going to be sick.
And even after 40 years in the wood shop, sometimes---
The last memorable kick back I had, was vid # 2.
Had similar making a pie carrier.......
Still have my old Rockwell 9" Contractors saw sitting in the corner of the shop.
I'd be most leery of the blade "grabbing" the metal and binding to a sudden halt or throwing....
