Same here - -I always avoid the rumb line in fog

Especially high traffic routes between ports and passages, or near buoys that mark the safe water around a cape or point of land. Often people use them as waypoints or cut them as close as they dare, to shorten the route. In fog or at night I give them a very wide berth (e.g. 0.5 nm or more)
