My good wife has suggested that I might like a chartplotter for an upcoming birthday gift. The budget is limited and a couple Standard Horizon units look like they would do the job. They have a 5" CP180 and the 7" CP300. The bigger one is twice the screen area for twice the $$. They use the C-map charts which seem to have their following. My plan would be to have it swing on a RAM type mount in the companionway. Is anyone using these that would like to share their opinions, experiences? Thanks, David
