mostly to get around and see whats near! I do have a Furuno unit without the chart capabilities and feel that the chart would add a level of info that would be very convenient when poking around islands in the fog. I would also like to add the Standard Horizon radio down the road that gives AIS info. Do you find the screen size hard to see or get the detail you need? I'm with you on the chart size: one chip will cover wherever I'm likely to go in the next number of years. Best regards, David
