Tablet PCs as GPS replacements. There is a lot of shareware GPS software out there.

I am am old mainframe assember programmer and have thought about developing something to mimic the Micrologic Admiral functions. I saved the manuals even though the GPS is dead.

BUT, I went cruising to get away from that crap. At least for now.
