A buddy of mine with a new 27 ft Hunter uses and swears by a Winch Rite to help with sail furling and trimming. He has gotten great support from the company. Of course your loads are bigger but this may still be part of your solution and it is a buttload cheaper and easier than buying and installing a new winch.
