Are you saying the load on the headboard of the sail although the same will be different on the block at the top of the mast. As I read what you've written you're saying that. A 1:1 pulley system as an equal load on both parts. Doesn't matter what you do on either part. You can divide the 1:1 up and as long at you turn your force around one pulley then you have a 1:1 load. But obviously I"m missing something in your explanation cause I don't think you're saying that do divide the load up on one side of the mast head you end with with less load on the masthead. But you may correct my interpretation if you choose. That's what I'm see you say.
