I would agree for short sails but when you're spending more than 12 hours a day in the cockpit small seat cushions get a bit minimum and I like full cushions. It's difficult to get to sleep on fiberglass. Of course you're not suppose to do that and I get yelled at a lot from the Admiral for doing it. Usually at 2 or 3 AM.

Sometimes when the weather picks up I get pissed at the cushions and throw them below with a few expletives as they get in the way. Shoes in the cockpit make me crazy and I throw them below also as they're dangerous. The Admiral gets mad at me for that also. All that stuff flying through the companionway door.
