I bought a couple of cushions made for patio furniture at the local Canadian Tire store that happened to match our curtains and canvas. They fold up to stow so they don't take up much room. We only use them under benign conditions or at anchor since they aren't secured and are indeed slippery but for under 100 bucks they are great.
