More scope is always better holding, according to the calcs

at the point where you have to worry about dragging, if your anchor is well set the rode will be "bar tight" and catenary will be nearly-none. That's why you need a stretchy snubber.

- OTOH, in some anchorages you can't put out as much scope, so then heavier can be nice
