I have only anchored 4 times with this setup, and it worked every time. But I am replacing the chain as it is terribly rusted, so I figured I would get what it is "supposed to have" vice what is on it now.

I'll get a couple of feet of BBB 1/4 and 5/16 and maybe some high test 1/4 and 5/16 and look at how it fits the gypsy. I'll go with what fits best. Up until now I wasn't sure how chain was sized, but I have come to believe the fractional number relates to the diameter of the metal that makes each link. Yeah sounds like a silly thing... but I have never bought chain.... ever. Had no idea.
