I'm not sure exactly what type but it will be structural, probably something with directional roving. I'll be talking again with my friend at the boatyard who has years of experience at this sort of repair. I have a couple other experienced friends who think I should go the composite route too. That's not out of the question. My only real concern with using plywood is keeping the water out over the long term.
