An easy overnight if the weather is good. I have dome Mamaroneck, NY to MDI in 48 hours, so the jump from where you are can be done relatively easily. One option if SWMBO doesn't want to make the jump across is to do it without her and have her meet you at MDI. She can take the train to Boston and have a son drive her up from there if she doesn't want to fly to Bar Harbor airport.

- Then I'd change your plan, "a 10 or 12-day "window" to travel to Maine and back"
- If the stars align we could make it from CCC to MDI in two days without pushing
- That's half the fun of being on a schedule. I get a little bored waiting for weather.

- I've found that the start SW Harbour and move east, then south make sense.
