Time has a way of doing that. When you're ready to move on

then unless the weather is really horrible, one tends to go anyway.

When it comes time for us to go to Maine we'll either need to allow at least three weeks, or I'll deliver the boat using a straight-though shot from the ccc then have my wife follow. In fair weather I could do the whole trip in 3 days from western CT. With our 8 knots cruising speed under power, we were able to transit the ccc against the flow without a problem this past summer, so timing that isn't critical either.
