Related, how fast can you get in your dinghy and row or power out a kedge anchor?

Over the years, we've had to put that maneuver into practice. From running onto a shoal spot in say, the ICW, to going up on a beach in a surf(haven't done that yet...), there's often a good chance you can get a boat off the ground and to safety, IF, you can run a kedge anchor out swiftly. If the tides is in your favor(rising), you could save your boat from a potential total loss. Sometimes I think this opportunity is missed, maybe not even considered in the panic. It's one last shot for some situations.
