In Response To: Absolutely on the roller. ()
I keep two on rollers, one each side of the bowsprit. Both are retained with lashings rather than pins. A lashing I can get rid of with a rope wrench if necessary. Because of the configuration both are plows, one on all chain, the other chain/nylon. Normally I use the ll chain rode, but for an emergency it would be the chain/nylon for quick deployment.
