I have a CQR 60 on a bow roller attached to 300 ft of 5/16 ht. Also have a Danforth 35 mounted horizontally , fixed to the bow pulpit on a customized anchor mount. Both are ready to go. Used to have the Danforth on the second bow roller but it always snagged the chain of the primary (CQR). Both are held by quick release pins.

When at sea the hawse pipe is stuffed with grocery type shopping bags to greatly reduce water ingress. In an emergency it is deployable as quickly as without the bags. Have only lost one or two of these bags overboard in all the years of cruising.
