I'd like to hear of any experiences with the loop current. I first thought we'd sail directly across the stream from Key West and then paralell the coast of Cuba and cross the stream again at the Yucatan Channel. Then I found this website with up to date current info and it looks like the current hugs the Cuban coast. Maybe go due west from Key West and cross at a 90* angle and then turn south to the lat for Isla Mujeres and turn west and cross it again.
