Or as it's called in Spanish 'Regata del Sol al Sol'. It leaves St. Petersburg April 27th and finishes at Isla Mujeres a few days later. We were heading the opposite way last year while the race was on. I understand Isla Mujeres goes all out for the race. Lots of fun in the town. I believe the race takes a course along the coast of Cuba. With a good number of boats going that way there shouldn't be any problem if you get close to the Cuban coast. Another perk is that you'll have a lot of current information even if you don't actually enter the race but just go the same way and listen to the chatter on the SSB.
