+1 on the HH VHF, better than PLB for coastal

As a coastal sailor I wear a hand-held VHF on my belt when I leave the cockpit. It's one of the newer models that float and have built-in GPS and DSC. Here in the Northeast, if I become MOB it's much more likely to get fast help than any other type of signal. It would also enable me to talk the admiral through rescuing me.
