Don't you have a dinghy while coastal sailing Gene?

With our cold water, you don't have much of a chance beyond a couple hours(or less) without something to get into to stay dry. That's not long to rely on rescue even with an epirb close to shore.

- A personal EPRIB is getting relatively less expensive
- Absolutely.
- I use an ACR PLB for local and daysailing.
- In answer...we have a main EPIRB (which I just had to replace because they don't make replacement batteries for it)
- For my coastal sailing, the dinghy is the life boat.
