I have a friend restoring a boat. "The thing I didn't figure in 15 years ago, was getting old"

() And he knows he'll never restore the boat, at least not to his plans of 10 or 15 years ago. Now his goal is just to keep it floating.
Life gets in the way, things change. He still sails the boat though, regularly, and has come to grips with time. That's probably the best way to keep in shape, keep your passions driving you along? How about a smaller boat?
I'm still well engaged with working and enjoying it. Our two kids will be out of college soon, then things may slow down, but who knows? I love what I do.
I just spent time with a guy my age with a 3 and a 6 year old son,....He is tired.....Best laid plans?
