Jekyll Island is owned by the state of Georgia and run by the Jekyll Island Authority. It is a mix of beaches and nature trails along with hotels, shops, a marina, and a waterslide park. There's something for everyone here. The best part is that it is dog friendly. Our dogs can run off leash here and romp on the beaches and swim in the surf. We bought an annual pass.
