Pretty crowded inside the breakwater, but I think most everywhere else is is fine. A nice spot is actually a cross the harbor behind long point where it shoals up quickly. Cruising boats often drop the hook there in sand, finding great shelter from the howling summer SW'er. It's far from town, but there are great beaches on both sides of the point.
