I've had two iterations of the Mercury 270
In Response To: new dinghy ()

The first was PVC.....just after the 5 year warranty the tubes started to melt and became very sticky. I ended up painting it and squeezed out another 3 or 4 years. Right now I'm going on 10 years with their Hypalon 270 air floor model. I've replaced the floor once due to leaks (I'm a diver and toss too many hard, sharp objects on the floor) and the new floor, now 5 years old, is starting to get sticky on me. I guess that portion is made with PVC but the hull tubes are holding up fine.
