I found that towing with the rudder down and centered makes them very stable. I usually leave the Mirage drives in (with a bungie around the pedals so that the fins are fully down) so that the kayak is ready for instant use. This makes them even more stable. Five years towing a Sport, Revo 13 and Outfitter with no problems. Since I sail a Nimble, I can't say that I have towed them much above 6kts, if you know what I mean.
