I've got a few thousand miles towing mine and for the kind of cruising I do, I don't think it can be beat. I will say though that I wouldn't have one without the collar. With the collar it is very stable and I can stand on the side to board my boat, and I'm not a little person. I never worry about landing on oyster and barnacle encrusted rocks and I drag it right over them without the least concern. Like Ron said, it tows and row nicely.
