Max, I have a Garmin 3210 Chart Plotter/ Radar

combination that I have mounted in my pilot house. I purchased an aditional mount and wiring harness and I can move the plotter out if I need to be outside. I'll move it out if I'm following a river, going into a winding entrance or in the fog. Situations like that. The only problem I've ever had was one time the plug got full of water which caused some funny things with the screen. That was all my fault. I made the mount removable and only install it when needed. The mount uses thumb screws and key hole slots in a SS plate mounted to top of the SS dodger frame. The unit hangs down at about head level that way.
