Rudder deeper than the keel? I'd think Bruce would know better, and have the rudder retract (a'la catboat rudder) when the board came up.
I used to have a Morgan 24, and straightened the rudder stock numerous times. First time was tough - later jobs were easier as I had the tooling! Hardest part was chiseling off the aft top of the rudder so I could get from port to stbd - and hence to home. First time was done at Champlains at BI - removed the rudder dockside, shoved the stock between some dock timbers, straightened the stock, and reinstalled it. A friendly powerboat gave me a tow from the bricks on the N side of the inlet to the dock after my outboard quit.
