Why do you think you need an external gas tank for extended range? Whenever I think I might need more gas than my 2 HP will hold, I just bring along one of the small gas jerry storage cans I use to carry gasoline aboard...

Speaking of handy billies, is there a way you can fashion a lifting bridle for your dink for storage when not in use? Only way to go, IMHO, especially overnight in any place where security might be a concern...
