Nice image Jon....

I mean not for photographic quality, but to show all the basics in one quick shot.

That is a very nice "handy billy" you use there. Mine is scaled down a bit from that, using basically small boat hardware.

As far as the jerry can idea... I have a rant for product lawyers... go take a flying leap! (OK, said in jest). I have a small one gallon gas can that is doing the job well of extending the range... however, since I bought it recently, the gas can came "all lawyered up." You cannot put the spout together on the gas can without spilling gas... this is of course due to some lawyer wanting to prevent children from drinking gas from the spout... so the darn thing has all these stupid safety features on it akin to those found on medicine bottles. (squeeze here, push there, use third hand to hold...) And you cannot put the spout on without it spilling gas as one of the "safety features" is a spring loaded valve that traps gas in the nozzle. /ok rant off. (man oh man, for a simple spout and can... )

Lifting bridle may be a bit of an issue... as an air floor dink is only as liftable when the air floor is "solid." Right now I tie to the various lines and hand holds along the side and bring the dink on board to the foredeck. Since everything is fairly light, this is only a hassle if I try to go off sailing, as my staysail sheets are blocked by the dink. But for security, this is OK.

I do like that seat bag... keeps stuff out of the water that tends to accumulate in a seaway. That appears to be a good idea, I'll have to find one.

As far as that Sea Dog rail mount... (and BTW Downwind and the local Marine Exchange are my favorite local suppliers... it just feels good walking into their shops, catching a whiff of varnish; unlike walking into the clothing centric "other place"). I went to look yesterday for those rail mount setups and forgot Downwind is closed on Sunday. I want to see and feel these Sea Dog plates before deciding to cut up some wood or not.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
