The owner had tagged a ledge in Muscongus Bay. While examining the keel for needed repairs they found the bolts badly corroded so it was shipped to Mars Metals for recasting. Mike had borrowed a welded jig from Royal River Boatyard very similar to the wood jig in your photo, Tom. It had flat top jack-stand screws mounted horizontally to clamp and align the keel. The most interesting part of the process was getting it perpendicular to the curved hull.
