There aren't many high aspect fin keel to hull joints that look strong enough for my abuse(this one included). But I can see the foil guys fighting with the common sense guys on this design. Looks like the foil guys won. Perfect hull to foil transistion-flow, isn't it? All that turbulence around and above the bulb, were they looking to make that up? Not a ton of keel working there as it is. Should have done a centerboard.

A larger, stronger keel to hull joint would have slowed the boat how much? A lot of ballast, 11,000 + for this 28,000+ boat. It'll be fun to watch it building this winter.
